Hollyhock Water | Hollyhock Face Toner – Anti Aging Natural Skincare 2 oz
Hollyhock Flowers, Water, Hollyhock Infusion, Mature Hollyhock Root, Hollyhock Hydrosol, Hydrosol, Flower Water
The extract of the hollyhock flowers, leaves and even root help hydrate the skin and lock in moisture. As a result, this toner helps the skin stay supple and soft. It helps with skin inflammation also by soothing the skin.
Known for its softening and smoothing properties the non-greasy emollient is quite versatile. Just that alone makes it a welcome home remedy for dry skin. Likewise, the hollyhock extract gives the skin added pliability and elasticity. This helps keep your skin young and radiant.
On top of all that, hollyhocks are known to be a natural astringent. In particular, the Hollyhock toner is a humectant, so it can help bind moisture to the skin. For these reasons, hollyhocks and root make the perfect botanical ingredient for a facial toner!
What is standing between you and unclogged pores? The answer might be just adding one product into your beauty regime. The secret weapon to healthy skin? Dr. Hadley King, a New York City board-certified dermatologist, had a simple answer: toner.
She says not to apply extra makeup to disguise acne and oil problems. Instead, use a gentle, soothing toner to remove oil and traces of dirt and grime. “Toners are most helpful and necessary for people with oily or acne-prone skin. Likewise, individuals who want extra cleansing after wearing makeup or other dense skin products such as sunscreen can benefit from toners.”
♦ Shrinks pores
♦ Balances your skin pH
♦ Adds a layer of protection
♦ Moisturizes dry skin
♦ Refreshes skin
Skin is naturally acidic, with a pH balance of between five and six. Cleansing unbalances the natural pH balance of the skin. The alkaline nature in some soaps causes this fluctuation. When this happens your skin needs to work overtime to restore the balance. Working overtime results in extra oil. Using a toner helps to restore this balance.
Toners help close your pores and tighten cell gaps after cleansing. This helps to reduces the penetration of impurities and environmental toxins into the skin. A toner can even protect and remove chlorines and minerals present in tap water. You can also use toners instead of washing your face when it’s oily or dirty. It will leave your skin revitalized, even when you’re on-the-go.

Shake well before using. Apply a small amount of toner to a soft cotton ball or pad and gently blotting and wiping your face with it will remove oil and give the appearance of smaller pores.
Hollyhocks (Althea rosea), Pure mountain Spring Water (aqua)
The hollyhocks are grown in our organic garden on our homestead every year. They grow to almost 8 foot! The beautiful hollyhocks have an array of white, pale yellow, pale pink and dark pink are a great beneficial addition to my natural beauty arsenal.
Hollyhocks, or Althea rosea, are delicate flowers that blossom flower in mid-summer season. The word “hollyhock” comes from “alkaia,” the Greek word for mallow. “Holly” may be the word “holy” corrupted.
Yellowing Treatment Tip:
Add this Hollyhock Hydrosol Toner to Apple Cider Vinegar (1:1) to use as an Herb Based Yellow Hair Toner. You can use this homemade hair toner for fixing yellowish hair, obtained after a hair dye.
Yellowing of the hair happens when bleach lightens hair color, and the natural pigment shows itself. Based on the natural shade of your hair color, the pigment can be pale yellow to dark red. While many people use food-coloring agents to take on bleached hair, there is a natural alternative to this toning approach. It is ideal if you are uncomfortable using chemicals on your colored hair.
♦ Shampoo the hair and squeeze out excess water.
♦ Then saturate the hair with the Hollyhock Toner mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar
♦ Gently massage the scalp with fingers. Let the vinegar solution remain on hair for at least 5 – 10 minutes.
♦ Rinse with clean water and air dry.
